Imam Ali Aboseadah is a classically trained scholar of Islamic studies with advanced degrees from Al-Azhar University. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies (English Section) from the Faculty of Languages and Translation in 2008, graduating with honors. He completed postgraduate studies in 2012, followed by a Master’s degree in 2018. His thesis was titled “Rights of Civilians During War: A Comparative Study in the Light of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah (Fiqh al-Maqāṣid) and International Humanitarian Law.” In 2025, he earned his PhD with a dissertation titled “Rights of Non-Muslims in the Mamlūk State in the Light of the Jurisprudence of the Objectives of Sharīʿah (Fiqh al-Maqāṣid): An Analytical and Critical Study.”
Imam Ali has served in various professional roles in both Egypt and the United States. He worked as an Imam and Khateeb with the Shari’ah Society for Cooperation between Quran and Sunnah Scholars in 2024 and served under the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments from 2011 to 2022. In the United States, he taught Islamic Studies at the Islamic Academy of Alabama from 2022 to 2024. As a ḥāfiẓ of the Qur’an, Imam Ali is recognized for an engaging speaking style that successfully connects classical Islamic knowledge with contemporary life.
